At the Children’s National Center for Autism Spectrum Disorders (CASD), we value the importance of well-informed and well-trained health providers and researchers. Our clinical training emphasizes evidence-based practices, multidisciplinary team approaches and strengths-based evaluations which provide concrete treatment and educational recommendations. Our research involves local and national collaborations – we partner with schools and imaging, genetics, endocrine and implementation scientists. Our research areas include executive functions, school-based interventions, girls/women, co-occurring gender dysphoria, transition to adulthood, health disparities and stakeholder driven approaches.

Clinical Psychology Externships

Clinical Psychology Externships offer supervised training in evaluation, consultation, and treatment of toddlers, children, adolescents and young adults with ASD and related conditions.
